Our Brand Evolution

In July 2013 Own Grown Organics was born and proudly began converting Brisbane's backyards, rooftops and community spaces into productive edible gardens. In the same year, Lukas started working as an Outdoor Educator in early childcare, combining his knowledge of sustainability and the outdoors. Two years later, Lukas was a regular speaker on the national education circuit, visiting centres and conferences for workshops and seminars on how to Embed Sustainable Practices and Risky Play into childcare. This organically led to the design and creation of outdoor learning environments that include the benefits of sustainability and risky play.

So with less focus on growing your own produce and more on play and education, we started hearing more and more from clients and suppliers that there was confusion around our brand name.

In January of 2018, we engaged Rem Bruijn of Brainheart to take us on an incredible journey into what our brand actually means - why it is that we do what we do. This thorough and insightful expedition has led us to this new brand name and creating our brand video.

We are so grateful to our clients and fans for believing in us and sharing their feedback as without that we wouldn't be starting this new chapter.

We also have to thank the amazing creative team behind the brand video - Rem Bruijn and Hailey Bartholomew - as well as the incredible, curious and adventurous little souls who are the stars of the show. And finally, the biggest thank you to our sensational team who were part of the rebrand workshops and contributed so much to the new brand and in what they do each day as representatives of Wearthy.
