About This Project

Jeff Davis, Principal of Hillcrest Christian College, shares his experience of partnering with Wearthy to create a full nature playground at their Gold Coast campus in Reedy Creek. Hillcrest is an independent Christian school with a strong commitment to nurturing the whole child — academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

What made this project particularly meaningful was the way it brought together Wearthy's Ecology of Play™ philosophy with the school's own PeaceWise Program — a biblically-grounded conflict resolution model that shapes the culture of the entire Hillcrest community. Rather than simply designing a playground, we worked alongside the Hillcrest team to create an outdoor environment where the values of PeaceWise are embedded into the physical space itself: quiet reflection areas, collaborative play structures, and natural elements that invite children to slow down, connect with one another, and practise the skills of empathy, self-regulation, and peaceful resolution.

Thank you Jeff for your testimony and for championing a vision of school grounds that goes so much further than a place to run around. We are incredibly proud of what we created together at Hillcrest Christian College.
